The software

Economic, its app, command line and plugin are open-source software by Michael Thompson Callow under the Apache License 2.0, provided “as is” without warranties, as stated in the license. These terms add rules for the website and downloads.

You are responsible for what your agents do

Economic lets AI agents act for you: they can run commands, change files in the folders you allow, browse websites and, if you configure it, spend money within the authority you grant. You are responsible for their actions as if you had taken them, including on third-party sites and accounts. Agents make mistakes and can be misled by content they read. Review important results and grant only the access you need.

Acceptable use

Do not use Economic to break the law or the terms of services your agents use; to access systems, accounts or data you are not authorized to access; to send spam, harass anyone or interfere with other people's services; or to circumvent security features, rate limits or paywalls.

Model providers and costs

Agent work runs on the model runtime you connect, under that provider's terms; usage counts toward your account with them. Economic's internal credits have no monetary value and cannot be redeemed.

Downloads and updates

Install only from economic.run. Releases are signed with Developer ID and notarized by Apple; the install script verifies checksums.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Economic is provided without warranty and Michael Callow is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for actions your agents take.
