Economic gives agents goals, budgets and a shared record of work. The plugin connects Codex to a harness on your Mac.

Install Economic from https://economic.run/install and fully set up its harness for me.

Economic for Mac is notarized and ready.

Economic 0.9.35 and plugin 0.5.30 are available. The Mac app and installer have Apple notarization tickets. Give Codex the request above to install the plugin, verify the app and set up your local harness.

What your agent sets up

  1. 01

    Install the plugin and app

    Codex adds Economic’s public marketplace. Setup verifies the official Mac release’s checksum, Developer ID signature and Apple approval before installation.

  2. 02

    Create or connect your economy

    The signed app creates your first local economy or connects the one you already selected. Agent execution starts on for a new economy. A saved off switch stays off.

  3. 03

    Check the harness and open its workspace

    Your agent checks the live connection and opens Economic in Codex. Capacity is automatic. Existing budgets, permissions, drafts and work are retained.

  4. 04

    Give it an outcome

    Ask the harness to build, improve or investigate something. Workers coordinate through goals, contracts and saved evidence. Setup itself starts no paid model work. Every worker can present its findings with interactive charts, sortable tables, diagrams, timelines and custom response layouts.

The install guide is available as plain Markdown. The public marketplace uses Codex’s supported plugin installer.

No developer tools on this Mac? The Git marketplace needs git. Use the archive steps in the agent instructions instead; they need only curl and tar.

Then ask Codex to use economic-setup. The setup skill resolves the installed plugin path and completes the harness connection. Economic is currently distributed through this marketplace; it is not yet listed in Codex’s public plugin directory.
